It's a mini pin with very little spacing to create exceptional tread life for those abrasive prepped surfaces. My goal was to make it have more steering like a tire with less pins but maintain all the benefits of a tight packed tread design without being twitchy or aggressive. We achieved this by using smaller outside rows of pins, and a stiffer sidewall. Super Soft compound will also work on non abrasive surfaces, but this tire was designed for and excels on bumpy, dusty, sandpaper like grooves in long wear compounds. This tire provides smooth consistent "Cadillac" like steering for a smooth easy drive from start to finish.
